The picture on the right is the entrance to Moscone Center North.
Just after 2:00PM on Saturday, June 25, the first day of registration, we stood behind a relatively short waiting line. It took us about 20 minutes to obtain official admittance to the conference. Each of us got a Conference Badge in Moscone North Lobby, and then a Conference Bag with lots of goodies in Moscone South Basement. Afterwards the three boys were subjected to a total ho-chi play for several hours while Suguru had fun at Masaaki's TTC.

A view from the left wing of Hall D, Moscone North immediately before the beginning of the 2005 JavaOne Conference. The first of 7 General Sessions took place at 8:30-11:00a.m. on Monday, June 27.
As we entered the hall, a great evangelical movie to celebrate the growth of Java over the world was being shown with powerful background music. Excitement was building up, which made Yasunori say that this situation looked just like a live show. It really was.
After the second Genaral Session was over at 2:00p.m., each of us went to Technical Sessions of his specific interest: I tried to join as many sessions as possible concerning web services or T4: Web Tier while Kotaro chose T1: Core Platform (J2SE Technology) and T2: Core Enterprise (J2EE Technology), Yasunori took T6: Mobility and Devices, with Suguru filling in the rest.
